Arkansas 2 is located in central Arkansas, and its population is 76% White, 19% Black, and 2% Hispanic. The past four elections have all been won by the Republican candidate with at least a margin of 8. In the past two elections, they have elected the current incumbent French Hill (R). Hill graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is the founder of Delta Trust & Bank and was also a senior advisor for both former President George H.W. Bush and former Governor Mike Huckabee. This past term, he was on the Committee on Financial Services. In this year’s election, his opponent is Clarke Tucker (D). Tucker earned his bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard in 2003 and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas in 2006. He currently represents District 35 in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
