Arkansas 3 is located in northwestern Arkansas, and its population is 87% White, 6% Black, and 2% Hispanic. Since 1990, this district has always elected a Republican candidate, and the current incumbent, Steve Womack (R), has been in office since 2010. After graduating from Arkansas Tech University, he served for 30 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard until 2009. From 1999-2010, he was the mayor of Rogers. In this year’s election, his opponent is Joshua Mahony (D). He was the past President of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund and the Ozark Literacy Council Board of Directors.
