California's fourteenth congressional district consists of the southern bay area, contains most of San Mateo County and a little bit of southwestern San Francisco. Cities include Burlingame, Daly City, Colma, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo, and South San Francisco. The distrcit has been consistently democratic since the nineties. The race is between Democratic incumbent Jackie Speier, incumbent since 2012 (previously rep for 12th district) and Republican challenger Filipino Cristina Osmeña. In 2016 Obama won 81% of the vote and Speier won 81%. California 14 is about one thirds White, one thirds Asian and a quarter Hispanic.
