California's seventeenth congressional district consists of the Southern and Eastern San Francisco Bay Area, includes parts of Alameda County and Santa Clara County. Cities include Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Milpitas, and Newark. The district includes the campus of Santa Clara University, and the corporate headquarters of Apple Inc, Intel Corp., Yahoo, and eBay. The district has be consistently Democratic since the nineties. This race is between Democratic incumbent Ro Khanna, incumbent since 2016, and Libertarian challenger Ron Cohen. In 2016 Obama won 78% of the vote and Khanna won 82%. Half of California 17 is Asian and a quarter is White.
