California's nineteenth congressional district consists of the Southeast bay area, covers much of Santa Clara County, including most of the city of San Jose. The district has been Democratic since 2012. The race is between Democratic incumbent Zoe Lofgren, incumbent since 2012, and Republican challenger Justin Aguilera. In 2016 Obama won 77% of the vote and Lofgren won 74%. A little over half of California 19 is White or Asian and about 40% is Hispanic.
