California 40 includes Downey, East Los Angeles, Commerce, Paramount, Bell, Cudahy, Huntington Park, and Maywood. CA-40 is currently represented by Democrat Lucille Roybal-Allard, who has served in the US House of Representatives since 1993. Prior to her time in the House, Roybal-Allard served in the California State Assembly from 1987-1992. This election, Roybal-Allard is running against Green Party candidate Rodolfo Cortes Barragan. In CA-40, Obama won 83.16% of the two-party vote in 2012, Roybal-Allard won 61.2% of the two-party vote in 2014, and Clinton won 86.53% of the two-party vote in 2016 while Roybal-Allard won 81.2% of the two-party vote.
