California's 7th congressional district contains the eastern section of Sacramento county, including such cities as Elk Grove, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova. The race is between Democratic incumbent Ami Bera, who has been in power since 2013, and her Republican counterpart Andrew Grant. In this district, the presidential election of 2012 results were in favor of Obama by 0.09%, the house election results in 2014 were in favor of Ami Bera by 3.35%, the presidential election results in 2016 were in favor of Clinton by 5.01%, and the house election results of 2016 were in favor of Bera by 0.63%.
