Louisiana’s third congressional district covers all of the southwestern area of the state,from the Texas border to the Atchafalaya River. It’s 73% urban with a population of 785,686. 70% of the population is white and 25% is black, with the median income residing at $44,668.
There are multiple Republican and Democrat candidates. The Republican candidates are Clay Higgins and Josh Guillory, while the Democratic candidates are Mimi Methvin, Rob Anderson, Larry Rader, and Verone Thomas.
