Michigan’s third congressional district is also located in the western part of Michigan. The district is 84% White, 8% Black, 7% Hispanic. Like MI-02, has voted Republican in all of its elections in the past two decades. Justin Amash has won the 2012, 2014, and 2016 elections with 53%, 58%, and 60% of the vote respectively. The candidates running in this election are Amash (R) and Cathy Albro (D). Amash is one of the youngest members of Congress. Albro owns multiple businesses and was formerly an educator. Our fundamental-only model predicts a Republican win.
