Michigan’s seventh congressional district is located in the southeast corner of Michigan. The district is almost 90% White and has voted Republican, save for 2008 when they voted for Obama and Mark Schauer. Tim Walberg has won the 2012, 2014, and 2016 elections with 53%, 54%, and 55% of the vote respectively. The candidates running in this election are Walberg (R) and Gretchen Driskell (D). Walberg has been representing MI-07 since 2010 and was previously a minister. Up until 2017, Driskell represented MI-52. Our fundamental-only model predicts a Republican win.
