Missouri’s second congressional district includes many of the suburbs south and west of St. Louis. It is located in the eastern portion of the state. Representative Ann Wagner (R) has been in office since 2013 and was preceded by two other Republican representatives. Wagner won by a 31.5% margin over her Democratic challenger in the 2014 election. Redistricting has caused this district to lean further left, but the district has voted consistently for Republican presidential candidates since 2000. Attorney Cort VanOstran (D) will challenge Wagner in the most competitive race in Missouri.
