New Mexico’s third congressional district is made up of the northern half on New Mexico. The district has a large Native American population. Republican Jerald Steve McFall is challenging incumbent, Ben R. Lujan for the seat. McFall wants to shorten term limits in congress and is against abortion no matter what the reason. In his terms in office Lujan has worked to push the country toward renewable energy. The Democrats have held the seat for the last 5 elections. Hilary Clinton took home 58.4% of the two-party vote in the 2016 presidential election.
