New York’s 10th District contains most of Western Manhattan, including Greenwich Village and the Financial District, as well as parts of Brooklyn. It includes many of New York’s most popular tourist attractions and is currently the second-smallest congressional district in the nation, only 14.25 square miles. It is 62% white and 19% Asian. In the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections, it voted 74% and 78% Democratic, respectively. The incumbent representative is far-left Democrat Jerrold Nadler, who has held office in the area since 1992 with little to no serious competition, having won 78% of the vote in each of the past two elections. He is running against Republican Naomi Levin, a young woman with no political experience.
