New York’s 11th district includes all of Staten Island as well as parts of southern Brooklyn, and is 73% white. It voted for Trump in the 2016 election by a slim margin, 54% - 44%, and voted for Obama in 2012 52% - 47%. It is the only district in New York City to be represented by a Republican, former District Attorney Dan Donovan, who won with around 60% of the vote in 2016 and 2015. Running against him in this election is Democratic US army veteran Max Rose.
