New York district 12 contains parts of Eastern Manhattan, Western Queens, and Brooklyn. It is 64% white. In the previous two elections, it voted around 80% Democratic. The district's current incumbent representative is Carolyn Maloney, in office since 1993. She won with 77% of the vote in 2014 and 83% in 2016.
