African American Attorney Antonio Delgado is the Democratic candidate running to “restore the American Dream” and Caucasian John Faso is the Republican incumbent in this district who has been appointed to the House Budget, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Agriculture committees. The 2012 Presidential Election resulted in a Democratic outcome by a slight margin(53.16%), however the 2014 and 2016 elections resulted in a Republican triumph by a slightly larger margin leaving the Democrats with only 35% and 46.41% of votes each year, respectively.
