New York District 20 lies in part of the Saratoga county, Montgomery county, and Rensselaer county. It also contains all of the counties of Schenectady and Albany. Paul Tonko is the Democratic incumbent candidate who serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee, while former nurse, Joe Vitollo, is the Republican in this district. District 20 has remained slightly Democratic, with Democrats allocating nearly 60 percent of votes in the 2012 and 2016 Presidential Elections. The 2014 House Elections were 61.20% Democratic.
