Ohio’s 15th congressional district is located in the central portion of the state. It encompasses all of Clinton, Fairfield, Hocking, Madison, Morgan, Perry, Pickaway, and Vinton counties, while including parts of Athens, Fayette, Franklin, and Ross counties. The district is 91.3% urban and has a population of 743,623. Despite having a Democratic Representative from 2009 until 2011, the district has otherwise been faithfully Republican. Rick Neal (D) is running against Steve Stivers (R). Neal has worked as a teacher, health educator, and humanitarian advocate in various foreign nations. Stivers attended both the Ohio State University and the United States Army War College. He has served as the Representative for Ohio’s 15th district since 2011.
