The Republican candidate, Bill Johnson, is an incumbent who has held office since 2011. The Democratic Candidate is Shawna Roberts, a stay-at-home mom who has never run for political office. In the 2014 Congressional election, Bill Johnson won 60.1% of the two-party vote in this district. In the 2016 Presidential election, Donald Trump won 72.2% of the two-party vote in this district.
