Ohio District 7 is mostly rural and almost entirely white(93%). It has been represented by a Republican since 1939. The Republican candidate Bob Gibbs, is an incumbent who has held office since 2013. The Democratic Candidate is Ken Harbaugh, a former United States Navy pilot and former president of Team Rubicon Global, a worldwide disaster relief organization. In the 2012 Congressional election, Bob Gibbs won 56.4% of the two-party vote in this district. In the 2016 Presidential election, Donald Trump won 65.6% of the two-party vote in this district.
