Oklahoma’s third congressional district is located in the western and northwestern part of the state, including the Oklahoma panhandle. It is 50.71% urban with a population of 690,131. 83% of the population is white, with a median income of $32,098.


Historically, Oklahoma’s third district has voted strictly Republican since the late 20th century until present, including the 2016 election. The district is not a swing district.


The democratic candidate is challenger Frankie Robbins, who is running a campaign based on unity and trust, stressing the importance of bipartisanship on issues. The republican candidate is incumbent Frank Lucas, who feels strongly about ensuring free trade of agriculture, strengthening national security, and cutting taxes on families and small businesses.
