Located in the northern Midwest, the state of South Dakota is home to landmarks like Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. South Dakota is 86% white. Their current Republican incumbent, Kristi Noem, is running for governor which leaves candidates Dusty Johnson (R) and Timothy Bjorkman (D) to vie for the open seat.
