Texas’ 30th congressional district is a small area in North Eastern Texas. It is 98.66% urban, and only 14.87% white. The Democratic incumbent, Eddie Bernice Johnson, has been in office since 1993, she was the first black woman to win electoral office in Dallas, served three years in Texas state senate, and spent 16 years as chief psychiatric nurse at the Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital. She is running unopposed by any candidate from the Republican party. In the 2012 Presidential election, Obama won 80.2% of the district's two party vote. 2014 the House race was a Democrat running unopposed. In the 2016 Presidential election Clinton won 81.21% of the two party vote. 2016's House race the Democratic incumbent won 80.39% of the two party vote.
