Texas’ 32nd congressional district is a small suburban rectangle in north eastern Texas. It is 99.85% urban, 53.1% white, and 23.93% hispanic. The Republican incumbent, Pete Sessions, has been in office since 2003, is the current chairman of the House Rules Committee. He also served as the chairman for the National Republican Congressional Committee. The Democratic challenger, Colin Allred, was an attorney and former NFL linebacker. In the 2012 Presidential election, Obama won 42.13% of the district's two party vote. 2014 the House race Democratic candidate won 36.42% of the vote. In the 2016 Presidential election Clinton won 51.1% of the two party vote. 2016's House race the Republican candidate ran unopposed.
