Utah’s second district consists of the south and west portions of the state, including part of Salt Lake City and Saint George. Prior to being elected to the House in 2012, Republican Chris Stewart owned the Shipley Group, an environmental consulting firm. Facing him is Shireen Ghorbani, a former Peace Corps volunteer. Since being elected to office, Stewart has consistently earned 60% of the vote; this year he is forecasted to win by a smaller margin.
