District Profile Last Updated: Oct. 5, 2018, 11:47 a.m.

One of the most closely watched districts in the country, Virginia’s tenth district is located in the northernmost part of the state and contains Clarke county and Frederick county. Republican incumbent Barbara Comstock is pro-life, supports reducing gun regulations and restrictions, and opposes same-sex marriage. Challenger democrat Jennifer Wexton believes in fighting climate change, reforming America’s criminal justice system, preventing gun violence, and supporting the LGBTQ community. While Comstock won by 6% in 2016, Hillary Clinton defeated President Donald Trump in Virginia’s tenth district by 10% in that same election.
