Located in the northern part of Virginia, the eighth district contains Arlington County, parts of Fairfax County, and Alexandria. Democrats have controlled the eighth district since 1990, winning more than 60% of the vote in every election since 2006. Incumbent Don Beyer is running against challenger Thomas Oh. Beyer believes in fighting climate change, increasing defense spending, and improving our public schools. Oh is pro life and believes in lower taxes, protecting the Second Amendment, increasing defense spending, and fighting climate change.
